Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani has made history by becoming the first player in MLB history to record 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a season. Ohtani accomplished the feat in style by clocking his 49th, 50th and 51st home runs and 50th and 51st stolen bases of the year during LA鈥檚 20-4 win over the Miami Marlins. The game was also the 13th time this season the 30-year-old notched a home run and stolen base in the same game, tying the single-season record. Ohtani also set the franchise record for home runs, became the first Dodger to clock a 10 RBI game and is the first ever player to have three homers and two stolen bases in a single game. Dodgers second baseman Gavin Lux said that Ohtani鈥檚 鈥渞idiculous鈥 performance 鈥渉as to be the greatest baseball game of all time.鈥 Ohtani scored his 50th homer of the season after sending the ball into the stands at Loan Depot Park with the lucky fan who managed to secure the memorabilia, leaving the stadium with it. According to Brahm Wachter, the head of modern collectables at Sotheby鈥檚, the ball 鈥渃ould fetch upwards of $200,000鈥 at an auction.
